It's been quite a long time since I was so invested in a show. After I finished it, I immediately re-watched it again. Due to Chinese censorship laws you never see anything physical between Wei Wuxian and Lan Zhang, but the creators and actors did not let this hold them back. Their relationship is still beautifully depicted. There where some parts of the story which I thought weren't very well done, but the characters always stayed strong, and it certainly does not take away from how amazing the show is overall. And something that doesn't tend to get enough recognition in TV shows: the music (all ost) where also so beautiful and well-fitting.

This show changed me. I'm not joking. At first is very slow and you don't understands anything but then... Oh boy. Then you'll cry your eyes out because you friking care about this characters. Yes, if you read the book you'll notice the censorship but I disagree in that it affected it negatively. A story doesn't need a kiss to show love and devotion. This one doesn't need it. This story gave us so much more than a simple kiss. Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo did such a good job... It's perfect.

I don't even know how to express my love for this show. I love it so much that now I want to watch the donghua and read the novel and the manhua. Tbh I wanna watch it again hahaha

The Untamed gave me the same good vibes I got while watching Guardian (2018) before (first favorite C-drama of mine). I agree it's not everyone's cup of tea but if you enjoy historical, fantasy with some horror elements and Xianxia dramas you should give it a try.
