I watched the first season as it aired, and if I didn't have to wait for the next season, I probably have watched that too. But since I had to wait for the second season, when it did come out I just had a negative impression from the first season. I couldn't put my finger on it exactly, it was very funny. I think, overall, David Cross has a abiding hatred for common people. I think this is him pretending to be a common person and this is his impression of how stupid regular people are. I didn't used to think this about David cross, this is only come up in the last couple years. But now going back and looking at this show, I think his hatred for regular people started a long time ago.
