"Summer Time Rendering", where do I start, in the vast world of anime, there are countless pieces of hidden gems such as this, at first, you'd think this is another slice of life romance anime, but then it's not...This anime wastes no time in hooking the viewer right in the first 10 minutes itself, the first 3 episodes sets the premise beautiful. Filled to the brim with mystery, suspense and drama, I was thoroughly surprised with this, I didn't think I will watch all 25 episodes in less than 2 days, but I did and it was one of the best 25 episodes of anime I've ever witnessed.

Imagine the perfect beautiful summer which sets up a nice "trip down memory lane" premise, and then one thing led to another and the viewer is totally discombobulated with the sheer amount of WTF moments back to back. The show doesn't hold back a single punch delivering twists faster than I could fumble a cute girl on a regular Monday at university.

Going to specific below with characters, plot and story. I won't talk about specific plot points but if you want a completely blind experience I recommend not reading the rest
Our main characters are one of the most interesting characters I've seen in anime ever, each one carefully built within the short runtime, the main characters are handled really well as are the side characters. The main antagonists of the show, "shadows" add such a complex layer to the anime which elevates the show to a higher standard. In the era of where masterpieces like "Tenet", "Enemy" and "Dark" has catapulted into popularity for being complex, Summer Time Rendering although being an anime does as good of a job as the previously mentioned projects. One thing I noticed about the shows is how well they have managed the tone overall, it's not always dark neither is it lighthearted, though the show leans heavily on supernatural beings and brutal killings there is a fair healthy share of lighthearted moments that'll get you giggling like a little girl watching Dhar Mann videos on YouTube.
In conclusion, this falls under my own collection of hidden gems beside 86. One of the better paced mystery dramas in the modern times. If you had the attention span to read all of that, please watch the show and thank me later :)
