Star Trek Continues

This is a masterpiece. It's like new episodes of the original Star Trek. The sets, lighting, and camera work are all like the original. The actors have a tougher job, but I'm starting to really like the cast members in their own right. Please watch TOS "Mirror, Mirror" and then Star Trek Continues "Fairest of Them All" back to back, because it's an awesome experience. Reflect on the social commentary being made. Consider that "Mirror, Mirror" was made in 1967 when America had started a war on false pretenses and a whistleblower had revealed that the CIA had "tortured some folks." This sort of disguised social commentary is, after all, the very essence of Star Trek.

This is the first time I actually watched a fan-made Star Trek show (or any for that matter) and I fear I might have started with the absolute best. The production and visualisation of this show is absolutely incredible. It looks and feels like the original show from the grain, colors, the set and even (most of) the actors. This was clearly a project made by people who love and respect the franchise and it's sad that they weren't "allowed" to make more. I've become a fan of these people and what they have achieved and created. In searching for more I discoverd some drama that happened with Shatner which saddens me a bit but I guess that's my own fault for looking into these things and thinking people can get along. I can recommend this to anyone, both Trekkie/Trekker or regular peeps. If only all fanmade projects were of this quality, love and detail. If only these large corporations didn't stifle the efforts of fans across the world with their copyright and IP restrictions but embraced them by working along. This show should be acknowledged by them, this should even be made canon.
