Lawrence, a traveling merchant searching for profit, finds a naked girl with the ears and tail of a wolf asleep in his cart. Her name is Holo – a harvest goddess with an untamed beast lurking inside who longs to return to her beloved northern home. Armed with his street smarts and her animal instincts, a simple peddler and a forgotten deity begin a journey through the wild countryside. Along their path, the riches of happiness shall be reaped, even as the bankruptcy which dwells in the human heart is exposed.

The first few episodes were simply boring, after that it became somewhat good. Plot was a bit complicated but it was interesting. Best thing about the show was the character Holo, which made me watch it till the end. Some scenes were entirely for the fan service, but they were cute. The ending of the show was the worst part though. They could have made another season as a lot of part of the story was still missing. But after all this time, it's probably not gonna happen. I heard a lot of praise for this show, so I was a bit disappointed after watching it. Don't keep your hopes up, It was a decent anime. I gave it 8/10 only because of the wolf girl.

Anime about a merchant having girl problems regarding a painfully annoying girl reaches a level of mid that shouldn't be possible! Who could have thought?

Show?
The anime isn't bad, but teases you to death. It includes economics, something which I've never seen used in any other anime. The main plot follows a merchant and his recently acquainted "wolf girl", their quarrels and quips, and their endless flirtation which is one of the biggest teases ever. It goes on for 2 seasons riding on that fence, they're friends and partners, but not lovers, yet the show makes them speak and behave in ways as if they were while pretending not to be, holding that carrot to an unsatisfactory ending in S2. The show is heart warming in its best moments, but becomes repetitive very quick; using the same formula, ending with S2 was inevitable. Despite having been disappointed by the ending, I think they couldn't do better without deviating or compromising the source material. In essence, this is a akin to very loooong romcom.
