**I don’t know why trakt.tv has only what appears to be a dislodged rating system**. At least it could enable the use of a double system, the actual and a parallel one. *The latter based on the actual ratings and data gathered from each episode to derive each season and overall series ratings using applied statistics*.

As of now, Sunday, February 25, 2018, 01:41 UTC, the ratings for this show, *Seven Seconds*, were:

**Whole Show (only one season released) gets a 50%** with 18 votes,
**Season 1 (10 episodes, all released) has an 80%** with 2 votes,
**Each Episode** of the season 1 **has a rating between 68% and 77%** and 8 episodes out of the 10 received ratings 70% or higher.

Obviously, the TV Show’s, Season’s and Episodes’ ratings don’t seem to add up. To me, they simply don’t make any sense.

*The current rating system besides being misleading to most*, **makes much harder than it should [could] be to find out [make an informed guess] if watching a specific TV Show or Season could be worthwhile or not**.

_Maybe someone could explain why trakt.tv doesn’t have, at least optionally, a parallel rating system derived from an algorithm –system– which makes mathematical and statistical sense or otherwise be so kind to explain to me how to make sense of the current one, **because sincerely I don’t get it at all**_.

@abetancort This has bothered me a lot too. I'm not sure how to solve this though. Most of episodes remain unrated in few shows or with really few people rating them. To trust these ratings might skew numbers greatly. Maybe simpler is to pull ratings from RT, Metacritic and show side by side.

@vishal8492 I have thought how it could be solved by applying math (statistics) to make a decent rating avoiding most pitfalls and by enabling KODI and Plex to ask for a rapid rating after watching a show.

@abetancort Why don't you message the team directly? Post your idea, get in touch with the guys at trakt. I know, I'm gonna sound like an ass, but this is the wrong place for this kind of thing - I don't think anyone will see your critique. Good idea, though! I'd be on board and upvote you - take your idea to the forum. ^^

@nukki Because the forums are only available for VIP users, and when I was VIP the forums were not that lively, not much was going on there anyways, mostly users asking once a moth or so for features that were in the previous version of trakt that never got addressed.

For me it looked more like a very slow change log than forum. That with the erratic ratings, and the fact that the real VIP features didn’t (and stilldon’t) support the iPad Pro 12.7, made me forgo the VIP option.

I couldn’t use any of the filters properly and besides when I somehow managed them to do something (randomly), they broke the layout so badly that the results were beyond unintelligible and impossible to scroll.
