Through 4 episodes, I think that this is the best show that is airing this season so far. It is an amazing combination of wit, comedy, epic "battles" and, of course, fanservice (Shiro = moe). The brother-sister MC combo of Sora and Shiro have vibed perfectly so far and I can't wait for the new episode to air each Wednesday. It reminds me of the setup in Mondaiji-tachi ga Isekai kara Kuru Sou Desu yo? but has many more interesting premises and brings more intellectual charm and humor imo. The art/colors take a little getting used to in the beginning but I don't mind it now. Madhouse is really showing off their stuff with this and I hope that a second season is in the works soon. Definitely give this a shot and watch a few episodes for the action to really heat up.

Okay fine! I'll give it a go. I have been paying attention to the higher-than-average ratings. To be honest though, the premise did put me off a lot as I'm pretty sick of Otaku pandering stuff lately.<br /> <br /> But fine. Since you insist :P

@ManiacB I'm surprised that you didn't pick this up sooner. It seems like something that'd be right up your alley... ahem... closet otaku... ahem :) While the premise sounds generic in the beginning, you really have to watch the show (give it a few episodes) to really see that it is all about No Game No Life's unique style, presentation and comedy. I think that is what has set this show apart from other anime with a similar basic premise. Plus, it's from Madhouse. You can't go wrong... usually.

@ManiacB I'm curious to see your opinion because I see this around a 5-6 tier. Oh and don't get blinded by the loli camel-toe in the first episode :p!

@sp1ti @deanzel<br /> <br /> Well I watched up to episode 3 just now and I'm pleasantly surprised by how much I'm enjoying it. I was initially put off because I've been let down by this "leet gamer trapped somewhere" concept too many times recently (SAO and Btooom! come to mind. Btooom! being by Madhouse too I think?) but so far the series does seem to have a bit of charm and humour to it (along with the loli and standard fanservice) - so far I'm genuinely enjoying the ride and the characters. <br /> <br /> Episode 1 on its own wasn't incredible but I found episode 2 especially to be a real ramp up in humour and plot drive. I hope they can keep up the pace and don't fall into a holding pattern about halfway through, which often seems to happen for these 1-cour shows.<br /> <br /> Score-wise I'd say it's 6-7 at the moment. On average I tend to rate things 1 point higher than you anyway though, I've noticed @spt1i :P

@ManiacB @sp1ti<br /> <br /> I knew that you'd enjoy it (in your face sp1ti). I know that we share a similar love for fanservice and lolis that sp1ti sometimes just doesn't appreciate :) The 4th episode is even better and really sets things up for what is to come. The main thing that I was surprised with was the quality and quantity of the humor. I was expecting something a lot more serious but this is definitely more up my alley. I just wish that there were more episodes for this season but you can't have everything. I've got it around a 7-7.5 for now but I think things will only get more interesting from here on out.

Best "new" show that is. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders and Mushishi Zoku are sequels so they don't count!

http://i3.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/000/615/056/23c.gif<br /> <br /> After completing the first season, I can answer your question, Maximus: "Yes, I was entertained."<br /> <br /> I thoroughly enjoyed this show the whole way through from start to finish. Madhouse delivered as they usually do (minus Mahouka but I don't think anyone could have saved that mess). A very solid 8/10 for me although I am a sucker for fanservice and otaku references. It's score on MAL and some other places is pretty egregious right now but whatever. At least I got on the bandwagon from the first episode! Enjoy it for what it is people. Season 2 please because I need mo' Jibril.
