I think this was quite a fun watch. all the stories atleast had enough heart for me to latch onto some elements of the plot and some of them were genuinely great. I don't think they needed to give us that crossing over of all the stories at the end, I think that felt a bit forceful and out of place and even the placement of the crossover came at such a pivotal moment in the final story that I was pulled out of it for a good chunk of 5 minutes. if they had just completed the final story first and then gone back exactly the way they began, it would've felt like a much more natural progression but I think they just wanted to have that final shot of Arshad Warsi and Chitrangada dancing on Shuru Se Shuruaat which definitely was wholesome not going to lie. I also think each episode was quite well directed with every one of them having a distinct enough visual style and flavor to it that you never get that sense of repetition.

the best performances were from Yeo Yann Yann, Arshad Warsi, Fatima Sana Sheikh and surprisingly, Wamiqa Gabbi. these people absolutely stole the show for me and I couldn't be more happier seeing Arshad Warsi actually doing what he does best i.e. being a wholesome guy and people starting to recognise him for that. Fatima Sana Sheikh as Lalzari is such a mood and Yeo Yann Yann's cantonese accent on the marathi phrase aai ga! has a seperate fanbase. I also have to confess that Wamiqa Gabbi is just breathtaking and I might have just developed a minor crush on her.

however, I also do think that background scores in most of the episodes have been utilized way too much, with the only exception being Bhardwaj's directed episode which would've been almost perfect if it wasn't for that cheesy and out-of-place balloon exposition. some of the concepts that the show tries to introduce to the audience are quite half-assed in their execution but I also do think that everyone perceives a love story differently and that might just be my own thing.

my episode ranking is as below:

**_3 > 5 > 6 > 2 > 1 > 4_**

following is a list of small reviews which I've posted on serializd which gives the option for individual episode ranking and I just wanted to keep them here:

* **Episode 1 (Raat Rani): 3.5/5**

from the inky black night
I have seized the light
where the road ended
there my journey began
there is no curfew on my heart
no restrictions on my dreams
breaking all the restrictions of the night
I bloomed like a flower
I am the Jasmine

* **Episode 2 (Baai): 4/5**

music doesn't care who you are. whether you're straight, gay, or whatever. music equalizes everything.

* **Episode 3 (Mumbai Dragon): 4.5/5**

the simplest and most honest way to show love is through food

* **Episode 4 (My Beautiful Wrinkles): 3/5**

moving on? I don't think an alien concept like that is catered to me

* **Episode 5 (I Love Thane): 4.5/5**

Ritvik Bhowmik you’re literally me (except for the book weeb part)

* **Episode 6 (Cutting Chai): 4/5**

chai lovers… gotta be one of my favourite kind of people
