I almost watched this before watching Grimoire Of Zero, but the very last line of the description noted that this was a spin-off of that show, so I watched Grimoire first... Really glad I did, and I would definitely recommend to anyone to make sure they watch Grimoire Of Zero before this...

I had this slightly below Grimoire for the majority of the season, but once you start getting to the later episodes they finally show the MC's past instead of just flashes, and man was it freaking brutal... But that also allowed the MC to start to grow, which was really nice.

Really like the fact that Zero and The Mercenary were in this, but they weren't the main characters... The way they were integrated into the show felt genuine and I think the whole thing was handled very well.

Definitely some memorable characters, some adorable characters, and even a great redemption story for what amounted to a side character. Some people say this ended on a cliffhanger, but for me it was more of a glimpse of what's to come, than a cliffhanger... They were basically just showing you where the story would go, after tying up almost everything that the characters had to deal with during the first season.

I really liked this, will be bummed if we don't get a season 2.
