After finishing both season 1 and 2 I feel in the middle when rating this show, season one in particular had a lot to offer in terms of direction and plot along with incredible action sequences, I think season one was far better directed in terms of a narrative point of view, the whole season built up on one end goal and the showdown in the final few episode of that season paid off really good, in season two it was slightly different, within the span of 24 episodes they did not just show the aftermath of the events of season 2 but they introduced a bunch of new characters while developing the already existing characters, which goes without saying the character development in this show is more than any shonen fan can ask for.

There are some really good highs in the show but then there are some pretty big lows too, to get it over with, the animation in this whole show is absolutely stellar, I see no inconsistency in the art style and the sound design slaps my eardrums so hard it's so satisfying, what I love about this show other than the other modern anime (DS, MHA, Black Clover etc...) The lighthearted comedic moments are actually fun, it might be just me but I just love the way they do it, not too much not too less, perfectly balanced. I can't stop talking about how good the character development is in this show, I love every character in this show, Shinra is the absolute goat, and paired up with Arthur is one of the best duos in anime, kinda like Zoro and Sanji but not as great.

Onto the lows of the show, I started seeing the flaws mainly in the first half of the second season, the show has a tendency to occasionally drag out the episodes which makes it really boring, I think the first 12 episodes of season 2 is mostly them going on missions, introducing new characters and also building up the plot. But after you get past those episodes, I binged the next 12 episodes in one day, the build-up was so worth it, the plotline was back in track and I could the show aligning itself up for another fantastic season. The final fights, the 8th teaming up to defeat an infernal and at the end we also see Tamaki and Maki getting an episode each for their development, I thought that was a bit out of place in how they did it, I would've rather liked the side characters to be developed while the shows goes on and not just slap an episode in between considering how little of an impact Maki had in the second season.

I said a lot holy shit, in conclusion, I dont see why any average shonen action enjoyer wouldn't like it, don't understand anyone crying about the fan service, just if you dont like it dont watch it bruh. Really solid, waiting for season 3.
