> Falling for Innocence might give the impression by the promo art that it is a lighthearted romantic comedy, however, it is anything but. FFI is actually a hardcore business drama wrapped in a crime mystery with a romantic interest being a focus.

> This drama could have just as well been entitled "Falling for Min Ho" – though I realize the pun with "Sung Jung" meaning Innocence would have gone lost; so to comprosmise I will call it in English FFI "Falling for Innocence"

It so happens that I have found myself discussing this drama a lot more than much more serious, thought-provoking and cleverer shows I've watched lately. Falling for Innocence is, after all, a romantic comedy, with neither the pretense, nor the substance of anything more. It is cute, romantic, funny and even goofy. Certainly not groundbreaking. This isn't a knock against the show but something to keep in mind when going in because the material might not be what you're looking for. As for the show,... So, the reason for my need to talk about it is easily explained in three words: **Jung Kyung Ho** .....
At the beginning Jung convinced me that Kang Min Ho was a complete jerk, even to the point he physically hurt women, he was an evil bastard for sure. Later on though, he completely changed the character and I was looking at a different Kang Min Ho and really put on a stellar performance with all his adorable characters quirks, leaving me wanting to see more.
As I was exploring Love-To-Hate relationships FFI is an unexpected surprise and being able to binge right after the "The Greatest Love" ; quite similar but FFI has rich plot and comedy.

PLOT
------

This is more of a romantic comedy with melodrama aspects rather than a real melo. It has a lot of funny moments and characters, and a lot of plot twists. The story was nothing new but just when you think things got better or worse, something else happens, but it doesn't turn out like you imagined. The writer was very good at overturning situations and destroy old kdrama cliques we were fed up to roll our eyes at. It literally happened the unpredictable, and this is what makes a kdrama enjoyable. The main couple had a lot of adorable moments that made me like them a lot. If you like romcoms, this has a few RC moments and believe me, even if you don't like heart transplant dramas, this is nothing like usual ... Everything about it is addressed and given an explanation.
Although they overdid by extending Cellular Memory to Visual Signal ; as any quack would say heart doesn't get visual signal in dreams ; I can understand the concept of heart beating when in presence of familar people and showcasing talents like drawing , fighting etc ..
.

CAST
------

The cast is excellent. I loved both leads and the secondary characters. Jung Kyung Ho was awesome as Kang Min Ho and he shifted from a heartless man to an eccentric and teddy bear in the span of a few episodes. His character will definitely be one of my favorites ever. Kim So Yeon played an 'iron lady' character, which is her best kind of role. She was very good at it and her chemistry with the male lead was spot on. The second male lead Yoon Hyun Min also had a surprising role of an evil man with greed. It really looked like he hated the male lead, when truthfully they are best friends in real life! Literally one of the few evil characters who did anything to get his way, somehow I applaud him because of his desperation and it was nice to know that i don't need to feel pity for second lead in a love/quarter triangle for a change.

Dong Wook was just this character you couldn't help but fall in love with the second you saw him. He was so upbeat and cheerful and was willing to do anything to make Soon Jung smile. On the opposite end of the spectrum, you have Kang Min Ho, a revenge-fueled egotist who would stop at nothing to take down his uncle's company; justifiable as in his eye being kind/nice was rewarded with misfortunes ; even by destroying countless people's lives. They were as opposite as can be, but shared a fate that would forever tie them together.

Soon Jung was probably the weakest aspect of this show for me. While I did actually like her, I feel like at times she was a little plain Jane of a character. I'd have liked at least half as much character growth for her character as we saw for the male leads. Cause boy did their characters grow and change. Jung Kyung Ho's Kang Min Ho has to be one of my favorite characters that I've seen in a long time.
After his transplant, the change in him was instantaneous. It was so funny watching him struggle with his new feelings and emotions, and even more funny watching him try to woo Soon Jung.
The character of Lee Jun Hee is like a dog in the manger, who doesn't eat vegetables, but doesn't want anyone else to eat it either. While I hated him for his actions, his motivations made him into a pathetic man. To quote Min Ho's words: **"You do not live to be able to gain something..., you live to take things from other people. Is there any happiness in this?". Really, how measly is that?**

The most touching moments in the drama are those involving fathers, Ma Tae Seok in primis, and the funniest the ones with Detective Ok Hyun and Secretary Woo Shik, aka Wendy and Tinkerbell. What an improbable, hilarious pairing!

MUSIC
--------
I loved the music as well. The main theme Paradise by Davink caught me at the first listen and I still listen to the OST now. I hate to watch previews so i closed my eyes when listening to Paradise after every episode.

VERDICT
---------
Overall, this drama was just exceptional, and the romance in it was just so much fun to watch. All of the side characters really did bring so much to the show, and the Wendy/Tinkerbell side story was entertaining. If you are a fan of romance and melodrama, this show should not be missed!

Honestly I would recommend this drama to everyone to watch. The story was amazing, the lead actor was amazing and it didn't have the seemingly obligatory meta cliches that korean dramas all have. I loved the "Captain Hook, Peter Pan, Wendy & Tinkerbell" references ;) . I would definitely rewatch this several times, so you should watch it too! I assure you won't lose your time. :)
