I didn't like it. The premise was interesting and I agree with a lot of points that Peck is making (
US as colonial nation, Nazi methods being similar to other Western powers of XIX century
), but the document was very hard to watch, follow and being invested in.

Creator decided to jump on topics without any order. So each episodes tells something about Indians and Nazis and slavery, but it's not linked. There are a lot of personal trips that seems unfounded - not real connection to described topics other than race. Adding a few minutes of family footage as B-roll for complex, but not that interesting rhetorical questions was not a valid reason to do so.

Acted scenes from the past with the White Man were mixed bag. Some of them were interesting (
hands in Congo
), but some seems to add very little beside cheap shock (
white slaves or dream sequence
).

I believe this topic is important and I would love to see a document that would educate me more on them - the tragic history of Indians and colonialism in Africa. But I think this document didn't try to educate and the facts were just addition to overarching goal of shocking the viewer and sharing the view of creator. This is okay (it's Peck's story, not mine), but I didn't like it.
