Reading bad acting here sounds like none of these people actually watched the show. Or don't know Helix, The Strain, Scorpion etc. One of the better SciFi shows these days, mainly for it being a mini series. There's no time to waste when you only have so much time. I like to think about this as a form of Truman Show but massively bigger. Contrary to other people I'd say the acting is decent with well-known B-actors from Saving Hope, Cougar Town (ah, well, the show itself is awful, the actors for the most part capable nontheless) that one guy giving Stroke the pills looked like that one "main" character from the Canadian version of 19-2, who got shot. Not sure about that, though but a likely possibility. Great intertwined plottwists, it's not clear who works for whom and who you can actually trust. Hopefully, this gets a full season. But thinking about that most people frown upon the genre SciFi nowadays, having weird expectations I think it won't.
