Absolutely fantastic stuff; went in with high expectations and they were absolutely met. At least the two first episodes were extremely enjoyable.

[EDIT: Six episodes in, it's still really, really good. Not saying every episode's been a banger, but in general this is very, very good. Episode six… well, let's just say I'm very glad I've gotten pretty good at avoiding spoilers at this point.]

Of course there'll always be detractors, especially the people who seem to HATE everything Marvel yet for some reason keep hatewatching everything Marvel produces. I guess they have some sort of masochism going on? Mostly they seem to just have decided everything post-Endgame is shit (while conveniently forgetting that The Dark World wasn't exactly stellar) and will go into every new movie or series expecting it to be shit.

You know what you get when you go into something "already knowing it'll be shit"? You'll probably think it's shit. Your expectations shape your experience, and you have _decided_ to be a hateful little goblin. You could stop hating at any time, or you could just go watch something you think you'll enjoy. But it seems you hate enjoyment.

Go touch some grass and find a healthier hobby. Hatewatching will just shave years off your life.

@krank23 On the contrary. If you walk in with low expectations, then you're most likely gonna be surprised even by something bad.

That was not the case for most. Not because they are hateful little Goblins, but because it was even worse than they expected.

It's terrible, cannot give it more than 2 out 10. Cannot imagine what the target audience was.

@trakotejs That's not what the science says, though. While you may be positively surprised from time to time, whether you've decided to be charitable to a work or not plays a big part in how you percieve that work. Being negative from the start colors your experience negatively. The brain isn't an "objective" detector of art quality, it's a subjective bundle of preconcieved notions and experiences.

@trakotejs Me. I'm the target audience. It was delightful. I cannot imagine not enjoying Hahn and Plaza chewing up the scenery.

@krank23 Of course there'll always be detractors, especially the people who seem to LOVE everything Marvel yet for some reason keep lovewatching everything Marvel produces. I guess they have some sort of masochism going on? Mostly they seem to just have decided everything post-Endgame is great (while conveniently forgetting that The Dark World wasn't exactly bad) and will go into every new movie or series expecting it to be great.

You know what you get when you go into something "already knowing it'll be great"? You'll probably think it's great. Your expectations shape your experience, and you have decided to be a loveful little angel. You could stop loving at any time, or you could just go watch something you think you woun't enjoy. But it seems you love disenjoyment.

Go touch some grass and find a healthier hobby. Lovewatching will just shave years off your life.

@jarvis-12406694 Congratulations, that made absolutely no sense. "Lovewatching"? "Love disenjoyment"? I do love enjoyment, and I do dislike not enjoying things. But I guess I'm just weird that way; I like liking things and enjoy enjoyment. =)

@hoaxr You do realize "wordt" isn't objectively measurable, right? It's not like mass or centimeters; it's subjective. If it's the wordt show of the year for you then I recommend you stop watching and watch something else. Instead of continuing to hatewatch something you think is bad.
