It's the start of Day 5 and Chris, Kerry and Nick are well rested for once. The group will need all the energy they can muster if they are to walk 100 miles in 3 days. With a storm racing our Hobbits to The Lonely Mountain, the trio must walk further and faster than in previous days...unless there's a shortcut.

Chris, Kerry and Nick are lost without water and cell service in a pitch Black Forest. IF they find their way out, the hobbits must then conquer muscle cramps, orcs, and surprise quests before they reach The Lonely Mountain.

It's the end of Day 1 and our Hobbits are completely exhausted. In order to continue on (or sleep), Chris and Kerry must first complete an unexpected task. Our Hobbits could use the rest because tomorrow they must battle blisters, barrels, and big ol' bees if they want to make their goal for the day. Despite learning nothing from their previous journey, the boys venture onto a closed forest trail, hoping to make up some ground and definitely not get lost along the way...

Ten years after proving that you CAN simply walk into Mordor, Chris and Kerry are back in Middle Earth for an unexpected prequel! They’re going to walk 160 miles from the set of Hobbiton to the real life Lonely Mountain and then climb an active volcano to recreate Bilbo’s adventure from The Hobbit. However, their guide, Nick, and an evil coworker, Gusdalf, have conspired to make this walk anything but simple.

To celebrate the release of The Hobbit this month, Kerry Shawcross and Chris Demarais, two staff member of Rooster Teeth Productions (the producers of Red vs Blue, Immersion, and Achievement Hunter), will do in six days what took Frodo and Sam three movies to complete. They will walk the 120+ mile journey across New Zealand from the filming location of Hobbiton in Matamata to the filming location of Mount Doom, Mount Ngauruhoe. They will sleep on the ground, cross rivers, and of course, eat Lembas Bread. Documenting the entire journey on video, the two Rooster Teeth staff will prove that one does simply walk into Mordor.The Ring is Found!
