Antonella Madrid is a Venezuelan-American film composer, currently residing in London, United Kingdom. Her latest score was for the short film Boys Don’t Cry, a score which amalgamates old-Hollywood-esque orchestral instrumentation with synthesizers and elements of sound design. She is a multi-instrumentalist, learning how to play the tuba at the age of 11, viola at 12, and the guitar and ukulele during her teenage years. She studied Orchestration at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and Composing for Film at Goldsmiths, University of London as part of their short-course programmes, and is working towards her Bachelor's degree in Music Technology and Production at the University of East London.
