According to Jerry Bruckheimer, this movie was moved from Disney+ to theatrical after it tested higher with audiences than any other movie he's produced. After seeing it, I understand why.

"Young Woman" is an inspiring and (mostly) true story with a great cast of characters, anchored (buoyed? propelled?) by Daisy Ridley's incredible charisma. I fell in love with Meg and Trudy immediately, and I was surprised at how invested I became by the end. I laughed, I cried, I ran straight to Spotify to find the soundtrack.

Ultimately, this is a story of overcoming adversity, which we can all relate to in our own way. It's a real pity no one will see this in theaters (if my empty showing is any indication).
