Wyrmwood: Apocalypse

Terrible is an understatement, wasted 20 minutes of my time when I could have watched something worth watching. Absolutely rubbish , acting qualities are non existant, could not bare watching this BS after only 20 min.

Film 143 (Goal: 300) of 2024: I really enjoyed the first film of the Wyrmwood series, a low budget, action-zombie Australian film that delivered on gore, interesting ideas and managed to keep the interest up with great pacing. The sequel is however a step down. Thankfully, not to far down but it is inferior to the original. The contrivances of the plot to get things to where they need to be, stands out greatly. And there are moments where characters survive things they clearly shouldn't, removing any of the stakes the film had earned. The things that made the first film so interesting are here. But after a movie and a half of the same, the second half of this film feels like a chore. Thankfully the run time is kept to a minimum. Wyrmwood: Apocalypse is still a nice addition to Australia's growing portfolio of films, and another unique entry into the multitude of Zombie films out there.
