I'm a massive Andy Lau fan, and when he gets paired up with the hugely talented and beautiful Gong Li, the choice to watch What Women Want was easy...even though I found the premise of a Chinese remake of an American movie rather weird. The movie itself follows the American original, so if you like that one, it stands to reason you'll like this one too. The acting is good with what they had to work with, so even though this isn't usually my thing, this one worked for me. Don't get me wrong...this is not great art, but the two leads have excellent chemistry, and as a light comedy, it works, so don't be afraid to check it out if the opportunity presents itself.
