What the hell was that? The flick had my interest from time to time and then I quickly faded out. The ending is what I was referring to in my opening question. I just didn't get why they chose to end this flick this way.

It's better than what you might have read from the other commenters on this page, but it could have been better. The concept is good, if overly familiar, and there is a nice sense of mystery. It's beautifully shot too, and the direction isn't bad. The main issue is the script, particularly where characterisation is concerned. A missed opportunity then, but it is still worth a look for both diehard fans of the genre, and yes, those unrelenting twihards too!

Horror movie versions of puberty have been done well in the past, _Wildling_ however misses the mark.
