This is a real eye-opener and a movie everyone should see. I won't be so dramatic as saying I'll never shop there again, but I will do everything in my power to spend my money in any store - other than Wal-Mart. I feel sorry for everyone that works there and has to endure what they go through to make a 'living' As a side point, my wife worked there for a day and a half and quit - she was told to lie to the customers and deceive them as much as possible. Not only that, but she was given a locker to store her purse that was hers exclusively, only to find out someone else was also using it.

This is an important film to watch. It is our civic duty to understand points of view other than the monied ones. Call me crazy, and I have been looked at as if I am when I do it, but I've often apologized to cashiers at Walmart by saying, "I'm sorry they took my discount out of your paycheck." After watching this I was actually clean and sober of shopping at Walmart for several years, but after being unemployed for all of those years I started shopping there again once a month to stretch my EBT benefits. I am not proud. I still believe that the only way to kill a bad corporation is to stop feeding it.

When rating documentaries, I look at production quality and creative decisions made—how the information is presented, r More

Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price - a ninety-minute documentary demonising a massive company, and with no one from Wal-Mart prepared to go on record, there's no subjective balance. That said, they do look like horrible bastards, certainly in their native USA and in the Asian sweatshops where they More
