VFX have not aged well, but the story still entertains for the 1¾hrs. Great performance by a villainous Russell Crowe.

I'd be hard pressed to decide which is worse, this movie or Manos Hands of Fate. Although acted earnestly by all involved, it's just an absolute dumpster fire of a movie. The story is very 90s, with all the tropes of early Virtual Reality, edgy techno music, cavernous club scenes, techno jargon and of course 1337 h4x0rszzz. It has not aged well. Russell Crowe gives an interesting performance as the antagonist but his character is simply ridiculous, and feels like it was written by a 15 year old. I couldn't finish the film, honestly I'd rather watch paint dry.

An interesting watch with a very young Crowe, who’s performance is a bit comical, and a bit eerie. The plot is ok, very typical of the 90’s and the whole “VR/Internet” era, but easy enough to follow. An ok watch if you like 90’s action films.
