Neither story really manages to accomplish being great, both have their positives and negatives (mostly the latter) but atleast with The Black Cat, there's more of an emphasis on Argento tackling a subject matter he can do well and have something to show for it. This is still a view once and not a hold in your collection kind of film.

Two Evil Eyes are a rather uneven experience. The first segment, called The Facts in the Case of M. Valdemar and directed by George A. Romero, is a slog to get through. It's not bad, but it is quite boring. The acting is decent, but the writing leaves a lot to be desired, and there's nothing really More
