I think I can be quite glad that I saw the edited version. From what I’ve heard, the uncut versions are basically half-porn, and some scenes are apparently even from other films (I know this was the premise of the challenge, but sometimes less is fine). Other than that, it’s a typical revenge flick, but probably one of the earliest. I liked how the story developed and the intensity with which Frigga deals with her abusers. However, the soundtrack was a bit over the top at times, with some really strange sounds being used, but I guess that was meant to emphasize the overall sense of dread. The slow-motion kill scenes were occasionally nice, but after a while, it became a bit much. But since the film is quite old, that kind of thing was viewed differently back then.

In any case, Frigga is definitely an iconic character with her eyepatch and muteness. The movie itself was okay, but for me, it hasn’t aged as well as some other films.
