***I realize I ripped this movie a new asshole with my review, but it was just so dumb and ill informed***

Love watching tech movies where it's evident the person who wrote it knows nothing about technology.

So Aia can control devices like a radio next to prestons bed with no wifi/ethernet connectivity... MAKES TOTAL SENSE! That's like me saying an AI can drive a vehicle from 1930s with no computer in it..... dumb.

This movie is all over the place when it comes to how they think AI works and what it would be capable of. No basic understanding of the internet/intranet needed when creating a tech movie I guess.

What is the point of the Aia terminal (or server) in the house if she can access all wireless devices when it's unplugged. Fucking dumb.... sorry you can't store the ai code within a tv, tablet, phone, etc with a dataset the size of the internet, which is what would be needed for it to live within devices that are not connected to the internet. It lives in the cloud because the cloud might have the storage to store a dataset this large, it doesnt currently. (the internet is made up of 64 zetabytes of data as of 2020 so its even larger now. To put this in perspective, 64 zetabytes equals about 1 trillion gigbytes) Even though Aia wouldn't have the processing power to be any smarter than siri/alexa.... more on this later.

Okay people. The "cloud" is not made from a quantum computer nor is it even connected to one currently as they implied previously that she was an ai built on a quantum computer processing a dataset of the internet. If she was in fact made in the cloud, she would not have the same processing power of a quantum computer and would not be able to process said entries even close to what a quantum pc could. If she was in fact, in the cloud, this would make her about as smart as siri/alexa who are also in the cloud in real life. FYI While quantum computers are being used in real life, they are not yet powerful enough to perform large-scale calculations as suggested in the movie. Jesus, who did the fucking research for this movie.

They also didn't clearly explain how she is controlling these people besides using manipulation and bribery.... what none of these people had a conscience until they got to the last family??? Love how there is no one in the movie who actually knows how she was built and how to turn her off. Yes you can be shut down even if you are an AI that lives in the cloud. What... you dont think apple knows how to turn siri off? Also there would be hundreds, if not thousands of developers who built Aia. One man could not build Aia in a lifetime. Where did all these developers go when she turned evil? What? She just knocked them all off one by one? Wouldnt the police be like.... i wonder why all these people keep dying at this tech company....

Dumb fucking movie.
