The Whole Truth

It’s a lot better than 3/4 of the horror movies these days. Just because it’s Thailandese, it doesn’t mean it can’t be good. It won’t win an Academy Award or anything like that but it’s really good and well done. It’s worth a watch.

To be honest, I don't know if the acting is bad or if it's just a Thai way of acting, but sometimes it feels like a telenovela. The actress (far too old to play a high-school girl) is stuck on her constipated face pretty much the whole time. The characters handle situations rather bizarrely. The sister sees a little girl crawling like the chick from the movie "Ringu" and just thinks about going to help her. The brother wakes up bleeding, and she just warns the grandmother that he's sick (he himself wants to go to school, because apparently it's perfectly normal to wake up bleeding). Then in the evening, she says he needs to be taken to hospital... Nothing makes sense. Meanwhile, there's a parallel film with the grandfather investigating to avenge his daughter from a mobster's son. Then the focus returns to the main story. Anyway, the whole truth (sorry, I had to) is this movie is pretty bad.
