You haven't seen the musketeers until you've seen this movie. All the other musketeer movies are silly comedies with some sword fighting. This movie has some of the silliness, some of the humor, lots of stuff fighting but also lots of real drama. The plot, the deaths and drama was darker and deeper than I expected. It may br cheesy and times but I think this is the best of all the musketeer movies made.

Many tries have been made to get the classic story by Alexandre Dumas to the big screen.This is to my mind the first movie that really works and is fun to watch. It has certainly been a reference for all future movies on the subject.
