Unfairly maligned comedy about a crazy time in US history. The plot is a little bit rough, but this movie is period comedy gold. ESPECIALLY Hopkins performance. It makes sense to portray JH Kellogg so ridiculously because, while he may have invented a lot of useful stuff and been a good doctor in many ways, he also was extremely sex-negative and a staunch eugenicist. So yeah, making him a bucktoothed quack in this comedy feels like a fair portrayal.

This movie is not the most accurate in the details, but it teaches you a lot about how people thought about health at the time and all the wacky contraptions that were all the rage back then. Highly recommend if you want to learn more about the time period and get a good laugh at some body humor.
