I am approaching this from the position of someone who already knew the story of Elizabeth Holmes and Theranos. For someone new to the story, this documentary is probably the perfect way to get the facts of this very interesting story and make your own judgements. For me, it was only 7 stars because it lacked new information and left some things on the table.

In this film we only get a surface level view of Elizabeth from promotional footage and interviews. I understand that she is guarded and facing legal issues so we can't get her to tell her side of the story (and it would likely be riddled with BS anyway), but I would like to understand her more as a human and the psychology of how she perpetrated this.

It also misses on the way that we all took the bait on her as a "genius", a silicon valley and a feminist icon. We all wanted her and Theranos to be real, did that cause more than just her investors to see what they wanted to see? I would have loved to see this explored as well.

But although I feel this left some things on the table and didn't break new ground, it was a well put together documentary and telling of the story of one of the most interesting and epic frauds in recent memory.
