Walken is great, and tries his damnedest to make it work, but it's too low budget and is far too self-serious with it's politics to make for a fun schlocky action flick, which is all something like this should be. It's ultimately boring and forgettable.

Raw, uncompromising. I don't think there is one happy moment in the entire movie. Grimm. An amazing, underrated piece of cinematic history. Christopher Walken is an amazing actor.

An ugly look at the life of war and a country torn apart and ruled by an evil army and regime. Lots of character study, not just an endless gunfight. About 30 minutes too long and drags a bit.
