Oh my God the first 52 boring minutes are almost impossible to watch. The rest of the movie at least has some action but the last 15 minutes make absolutely no sense

Like my kids, _The Dinner Party_ is a labor of love born of an ameteurish effort. A woman in an abusive relationship with a playwrite (and who, anecdotally, happened to be raped by her father?) goes to a dinner party with 'rich people' including a famous woman writer who inexplicably dresses like a stripper... Yeah, I couldn't figure this out. The horror begins when the group spends 30 minutes of our hard earned movie time summarizing the plots of different operas, and this also explains the 2-hour run time for a 45 minute film. _The Dinner Party_ is what I expected _The Invitation_ to look like, but that one turned out to be inviting and this one turned out to be an argument for social distancing.

I never made it to the end. I actually fell asleep and I wasn't even tired. Sorry. 3/10
