An absolutely astonishing work full of ethical or moral dilemmas in each and every minute of almost two hours movie. It pictures the why those judges that are good people goes sarcastic or looks 20 years older than they actually are. Bravo Emma Thompson !!!

Incredible performances by Emma Thompson, Fionn Whitehead and Stanley Tucci. Such a tragic story and moral dilemma.

Emma Thompson is extraordinary as always but the movie feels like two stories brought clumsily together. Confused.

Unfortunately more a drama about a child not knowing his place in society and fixating on the judge ordering a blood transfusion and about said judge's marital issues than about her cases. Not sure the movie even needed the marital issues as they felt rather irrelevant and removed from the rest of the plot. Thompson's great, though.
