I waited for this movie for a very long time, and it seemed very promising from the trailers, but ultimately it falls a little flat and feels a little rushed. I feel like a miniseries would've worked best for covering the many characters better and fleshing them out, and having such great actors on screen for so little time felt like a waste compared to what could've been. Theres hardly anything about [spoiler] what happened to the club after the kid took over [/spoiler] which really further reinforces my opinion that this should've been a miniseries. Still, it's not bad, and as far as motorcycle movies go (which there really really aren't many of) this is one of the better ones.

Someone said this should have been a miniseries and I totally agree. Even though it feels light on plot, there are big events that happen all of the sudden. Like the leader wanting to pass down the baton. Also, I'm a fan of Jodie Comer but she was miscast here. I never bought her in the role. I see her _acting_.

It’s a bit light on story, but ‘The Bikeriders’ is a film I enjoyed. The stellar cast list is probably the main reason, because everyone onscreen do great work. Austin Butler and Jodie Comer are the obvious standouts as leads, both are good value throughout; even if the latter’s accent is slightly grating at a few moments. Tom Hardy is, as always, terrific too, while it was awesome to see Norman Reedus appear. As noted, I do think there’s just barely enough there for a movie - it is a plot that is stretched as far as it could possibly be. It is all shot well and all that, the bikes look and sound ace. I also like how the film wraps up. All in all, it’s very good and most certainly worth a watch.

Only Jeff Nichols could adapt a book as archaic as this. The cast holds so much presence. I could feel Norman before seeing him, and Jodie Comer? Simply put, she's already won my Oscar. I waited 11 months to feel the 'freedom' captured in the cinematography and score. The humour/escalation/exposition should be a lesson to Hollywood. It wants you to question people, replace the surprisingly not overbearing bikes and it's the same story. It ended as abruptly as how they describe the end of the bikers 'golden age'. The style/production transported me, but I don't think I'm ready for that ride.

When I first saw the media for this show, I wondered why they were remaking Outsiders. Ponyboy is more of a stone cold killer in this.
