I love A24 and campy horror comedy but yikes. This is just plain bad. It's unfunny, cheap-looking and shoddily put together. Almost nothing in _Slice_ works. Even Zazie Beetz looked bored. The only positive I can think about is the mercifully short runtime that makes this bearable.

My second A24 film, very funny and colorful, very 80s indeed. And it has Jerry from Rick and Morty, Chance the Rapper, and Zazie Beetz!

This one was rough. I really like A24 and campy/cheesy horror, but something about it didn’t really click for me at all. What’s even more of a shame is that I genuinely like most of the actors in this movie. I can’t outwardly say it was bad, or unwatchable, but it is far from good. Therefore, I am unable to recommend this movie unless you are an A24 completionist or are a small glutton for punishment when it comes to horror movies. Rating: 1/5 - 5.5/10 - Would Not Recommend

I sorta don't mind movies that throw you in the deep end in terms of setting. No explanation, just "Werewolves and ghosts are real, deal with it, you wanna know how our werewolves and ghosts differ from somebody else's? Watch the damn movie, you'll figure it out". And that aspect of _Slice_ totally More
