Note to self, watch lifestory Hellen Keller next, she is mentioned in this movie.

"The most beautiful and precious things in the world. Cannot be heard or seen. But only felt by the heart" -- Hellen Keller.

The film centers on deaf children being abused by the very adults who were supposed to protect them, which in theory should have made it an emotionally powerful experience. However, the movie falls flat. Despite the heavy subject matter, it’s not particularly well-executed from a cinematic perspective. I didn’t feel moved to tears even once. It tries to tackle too much in just two hours, which prevents it from delving deeply into any one issue, leaving it emotionally unengaging.

The film exploits a tragic story by turning it into melodrama, but it remains superficial and never addresses the deeper issues or meanings behind the events. It feels like it was made purely for profit, lacking the substance it needed—it could easily have been a Netflix movie. I'm usually an easy crier, but even the moments that should have had an emotional impact didn't resonate with me. It all felt too overproduced and artificial to truly connect.

6/10 Enjoyable moments, but overall forgettable. (not craving more like these)
