I really love watching horror movies, and over the years, I've seen quite a few. But the scariest thing of all is still real life. The realization that what you're witnessing isn't something invented in the mind of a writer hits me harder than any jump scare ever could. Nothing is as messed up as the world and humanity itself—the cruelty, the indifference, and the way history keeps repeating itself in the most tragic ways.

"Rhymes for Young Ghouls" begins with a bang that I wasn’t prepared for, neither the protagonists. This sense of shock carries throughout the entire story, keeping you on edge. Terrible things happen, and somehow, people have to find a way to deal with them. Humanity invades, destroys, and exploits whatever it can, leaving everyone to suffer in the end. Even today, these cycles of pain and destruction continue, despite the fact that it's been going on since the beginning of time. We should have learned by now, but somehow, we haven’t. It’s haunting to think how history seems to ignore our lessons, as if we’re doomed to relive the same horrors again and again.

But I digress. The film itself is absolutely breathtaking. The harshness of the story stands in stark contrast to the beautiful way it's presented, with each scene meticulously crafted. So much is done right here—momentum, atmosphere, charm, and the raw brutality. The cinematography is especially impressive because it somehow manages to capture beauty in all the darkness. While "Rhymes for Young Ghouls" might not officially be labeled a horror movie, I think it shows real-life horror in its purest form. There are classic horror elements like tension, dread, and a constant sense of unease that run throughout, adding to the atmosphere and emotional weight. The film weaves together a story about the horrors and brutality people still endure, all wrapped in a gripping and unexpectedly heartfelt tale of responsibility, loss, community, and oppression.

Even with all its intensity, "Rhymes for Young Ghouls" is still a movie you can’t look away from. It’s not just the strong performances—the cast really brings an authentic, raw energy to the screen—but also the way the film was made with such obvious care. Every scene feels deliberate, like it was meant to pull you deeper into the story. You can tell how much passion went into this project; it’s not just another movie, it’s something that feels crafted, like a piece of art. I’m really glad I got to see it, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.
