Extremely gripping, extremely tough to watch. Especially difficult to watch this as a therapist, as you’re literally just watching trauma occur in real-time as it unfolds, thanks to some truly shocking camerawork by Hetherington and Junger. Wonderful film, but truly abhorrent subject matter. May all those involved find peace.

Very moving documentary. I have so much respect for these guys. I could never do what they do. The utmost respect to these men that lay their life on the line.

I guess I've seen a different *documentary* than jontstaz, since I didn't notice anything glorifying meaningless killing in this. So much glory in this, grown man crying after their friends have been shot, blowing up kids and innocents by accident, them dancing and having fun to silly eurobeat songs, living for months in utter shitholes... yeah, so much glory, so much 'murica. It's a shocking display of reality rather... the complete opposite of glorifying and what not. Condemning this because of 2 lines uttered by a soldier after he got "revenge" for shit that happened to their friends before? That's just silly. You wouldn't wish to be in their shoes and go through the same crap.

The documentary is very well structured, it's not boring with a lot of explanations or moments that can make you sleep, its fast, concise and show us the reality this men passes through.
