Where shall I start with that?

Toey is Thai young man who is fresh out of break up with his girlfriend who got to Japan to clear his thoughts and view, sort of recalculating the life's route. On his door knocks a young man who forgot his key and how Toey and Oat meet each other. In the beginning I got the impression that Toey just really wants to be alone and Oat doesn't let go- he takes him to the market, to a stroll to the mountain and to a bar for a game and drinking after Toey finds out that his ex moved on pretty quickly. Things get wayward when Toey wakes up the next morning naked next to a sleeping Oat.
I'll stop the summery here...

this film is definitely a mood film. I have to say that the cinematography is amazing and the views are breath taking. You can clearly see that Toey is truly depressed and lost by the colors of the film. Later the colors change a bit to worm colors when the men get close to each other, but get colder by the end again.
All I wanted is to give Toey a big bear hug and tell him that everything will be all right and that he is not alone, and to Oat too, until I wanted to kick him in the end.
so, The end... I found it so anti-climatic. Meeting in the airport with a smile- did Oat think that Toey will be happy to meet him? Did Toey accept his FB request? I guess I'll only know when I'll watch Present Still Perfect.

The things that I really loved in the film?
Almost everything!
The colors, the locations, the VERY talented actors, the vibes, the mood, the score, the silence sometimes when needed. The Natto discovering (I'm going to try that but not with raw egg). I love the fact that the director (who is a dear friend and a wonderful diva) combined his names in the characters names.
What I didn't like?
Toey's nails. Damn, all I could see when I watched his hands are those nails. I guess the actor is playing guitar in life but I could unsee it.
Oh... and the way Oat left...

In the end I'll have to put "spoiler" sigh on that review.
This film is very watch worthy, I really recommend.

9/10 stars from me.
