Was Buster Keaton crazy? In this movie we can see a lot of his acrobatic skills, with good action scenes. The story is ok, it's not exactly my kind of humor, but this is still a good movie.

A hundred years later, and Keaton still makes me laugh so hard I woke up my wife. Really well done throughout, with the standout sequence coming at the end. How they conceived of and executed the waterfall stunt is truly stunning.

His next film _Sherlock JR._ being a breathless action- and gag fest, this one is a lot slower paced with fewer laugh-out-loud moments. Instead, it excells in terms of storytelling. Where Three Ages felt a lot like three of his (very worst) shorts rolled into one, Our Hospitality finally sees Keaton make flawless use of the expanded running time with not a single shot wasted.

The horse-woman gag, and somehow not the stunt work, is what made me finally accept that Keaton > Chaplin

Buster Keaton is the young "Willie McKay" who is returning home to his Appalachian home when he meets and immediately takes a shine to "Virginia Canfield" (Natalie Talmadge). Now these surnames make an huge difference to their chances of any relationship. Like the "Montague" and "Capulet" families o More
