Like a below-the-belt massage therapist, _My Days of Glory_ touched me on a personal level. I can't really recommend it to anyone but me because this film encompassed many of my lost years in 90 minutes, so maybe move along and leave this movie and me alone in a corner where we can commiserate. Many people probably won't like this film, but that's OK because not many people liked me very much either.

Noée Abita (who exploded onto the scene in her 2017 debut Ava) proves once again that the future of French cinema is in lovely hands, and while I can take or leave Vincent Lacoste, I can take him in _My Days of Glory_ as the lead role falls squarely within his range.

Because the ridiculous ending only slightly ruined the relationship I'd been enjoying with this movie, I will easily recommend _Mes jours de gloire_ to anyone reading this who is me.
