Whedon's MAAN is probably one of the few films I'm actually enjoying re-watching time after time. The actors and the fact that it was filmed in black and white are the main reason why this movie works so well. And it made me fall in love with Acker's talent all over again so I can't be more grateful.

Amy Acker may not be the best Beatrice ever but her acting is nearly close to perfection and, what's more important, her delivery of famous "if I were a man" monologue is breathtaking. Just as it should be.

Sublime! Has me wishing Whedon made one of these every time he's in between Marvel blockbusters!

My favorite part of this movie is when Amy Acker's character stays _alive_ and don't die suddenly for shock value before the ending like it usually happens on tv shows with her.

Felt very awkward and staged. I understand how they wanted a literal translation of the work, but it didn't really work in this case. Couldn't watch it through and turned it off after 1/3 of it.

My Shakespeare knowledge is not very strong but the idea that I have is that watching something from him might be a little heavy but this film was nothing like that and it amazed me because I was never bored! It's a very charming, sweet and funny film with a little tragedy to the mix.

Alexis Denisof's monologues are fantastic, Nathan Fillion was very funny and the rest of the cast did a great job. The type of language in Shakespeare can be very difficult and all of the cast made it easy to understand putting a lot of emotion and simplicity in the way that they were acting.

Overall, I enjoyed. Great modern adaptation of Shakespeare.
