A young girl from Rouen dreams about directing movies with Julia Roberts. Like a sitcom pilot crash landing. Look, this is obviously a passion project for the director who's bringing her personal life to the screen so I won't dwell on my feelings. Needles to say the story had all the trappings of a bad sitcom and the film is very self centered, so doesn't really show us how or why the lead characters' mother is in any way a hero. Still, the director got the opportunity to realize her dream and I'm sure that felt great, so just ignore me and my downer ass self.
