The matador here is a serial killer who finds sexual pleasure in death. Despite the sick premise, the tone is full-on kitsch, to the point that it all looks like a silly parody of erotic thrillers. The bad taste combined with macabre humor creates a bizarre yet fascinating atmosphere. A good one to try when you are tired of conventional films. Too bad that it all falls apart in the second half, as if the script was improvised on the go.
