[Fantasia '24] Through the experience of survivors of a lightning strike, Lucía Puenzo establishes a relationship between the consequences of the electric shock and the female bodily changes that feed a film with more complex thematic ramifications, a story that speaks of a woman who transforms into another, who needs to find herself again after an event that allows her to follow a different path. Although it may remind us of David Cronenberg, it never takes the definitive step towards breaking into the fantasy genre. It is there where it deploys too many ideas to always stay in a middle ground that does not cross the limits.
