I'm probably a sucker for feel good true stories. There's not much hope for kids who have been told they can't and we are quick to judge and limit the poor and the minorities in the USA, even more so poor minority men. For anyone to give them a way to see their own potential is amazing. Cuba Gooding Jr delivers an amazing performance, as does Malcolm Mays. The entire cast does. I felt like the script could've been a little more descriptive. An extra couple minutes on the sequence around Peanut, an explanation of the dog tags for Tahaime. Maybe a little of the conversation between Eugene and Marcus than just sitting at the table. Just a little more depth and an extra ten minutes. 9.8/10. Really phenomenal.

A good movie with a touching story that makes us reflect on how games and sports should be more valued as tools for personal and spiritual growth. The film demonstrates how these practices can become a fundamental part of life, enabling incredible achievements even in the face of challenging realities. The characters are engaging, and it’s inspiring to follow their development throughout the movie.
