A knight and his valet are plagued by a witch, and to repair the damage they make use of the services of a wizard. However, something goes wrong and they are transported from the 12th century to the year 2000. There the knight meets some of his family and slowly learns what this new century is like. However, he still needs to get back to the 12th century to deal with the witch, so he starts looking for a wizard. Remake of 1993 French film Les Visiteurs (The Visitors).

The American remake of a French classic comedy with the same main cast, Jean Reno and Christian Clavier. Well, as ever so often, the American remake stay miles behind the original and one wonders why they did it. If you can, watch rather the original.

I saw the movie before when I was still very young and found it extremely funny from start to finish. Not so long ago I showed it to my girlfriend and we both had to laugh a lot. Hardly any of my friends know this movie, which in my opinion is far too underrated. It was an insider tip of my father at the time. Definitely value to be watched.
