Tense Iranian crime thriller. The first chase sequence is gripping. Payman Maadi (A Separation, About Elly) is convincing as the lead detective trying to catch a drug baron flooding the streets of Tehran with crack and opium. But the standout is Navid Mohammadzadeh who delivers a beast of a performance here, shockingly good. The film feels a little overlong at the 2 hour mark and gets very shouty in the middle, But it's well crafted and another of those morality tales from Iranian cinema. 7.7/10

Like an S&M priest, _Just 6.5_ is hard-core and more effective when it isn't preachy. This look at the inside of the Iranian crack epidemic and the justice system that's fighting it doesn't really bring anything new to the table but the top notch directing (Saeed Roustayi), the duo of actors in the lead roles (Payman Maadi & Navid Mohammadzadeh), and the fact it was filmed in Tehran elevate this familiar cops and dealers story into art.

"Insp. Majidi" (Payman Maadi) has been on the trail of local drug lord "Khakzad" (David Mohammadzadeh) for quite a while but he's proved to be quite elusive. It's not just that the guy has covered his tracks efficiently, it's that he also knows how to make sure his underlings keep their mouths shut More
