_Jessica Forever_ is like a party you think is going to be great when you arrive, but then everyone starts talking about their personal issues which don't even have the decency to be interesting. Eventually you'll wonder who the hell invited you to begin with, and why the hell you decided to come.

_Jessica Forever_ is the 'brain' child of a French directing duo. They've won awards for their shorts, and this is their first feature. Sort of. Because when you watch this, you realise it's a short that has been stretched to the point of breaking in order to make it long enough.

And more's the pity, because there is a lot here that is worth keeping. The music is engaging, the directing is competent and the cinematography is, at times, stunning. Sadly, no matter how hard you try to like this film, the ridiculous lack of a story is going to do everything it can to stop you.
