Although it challenges conventional cinema norms by offering an intimate and provocative exploration of sexuality and identity, it is not a film I would recommend. Indeed, through an approach that deliberately departs from traditional narrative conventions, Akerman creates a film that is both bold and contemplative.

Firstly, what stands out the most is that due to its low budget, the film was shot using high-ISO film, which accentuates its distinctive grain and contributes to a raw and authentic aesthetic.

This scene, which defies conventional norms of representation in cinema, offers an uncompromising exploration of desire and intimacy. The length and frankness of this sequence allow for a complete immersion into the emotional experience of the characters, revealing the complexities of their relationships and emotions in a way that few films dare to show. Nevertheless, realism is relegated to the background due to an improvised choreography aiming to distance itself from pornography, which makes it challenging to achieve emotional authenticity and subjective experience over documentary precision in terms of time.[/spoiler]

Finally, the interview-documentary character is clearly influenced by Jean-Luc Godard's style, which, while adding an interesting dimension, also results in an approach that is somewhat derivative and less innovative.
