Jaime is the portrait of a young man affected by a mental disorder in which his mind perceives reality in a distorted way. In this fascinating and provoking medium length film, director Francisco Javier Rodriguez questions our idea of reality, creating a subtle game in which fact and fiction merge. Touching yet unsettling, this film interrogates what we consider to be “the norm”.

[VdR'22] One of the most original proposals on mental illness, an artistic game that at the same time profoundly questions the idea we have of "normality" and the way in which society relates to psychiatric problems. The director explores the concept of normality by actively involving the viewer, questioning what we are watching. It's a film as fictional as it is real, but at the same time as real as it is fictional.
